Course

The Marathon is exclusively run on Le P’tit Train du Nord Linear Park.


Time Limit

The time limit to finish the marathon is 5:30.

Checkpoints 

Runners will have to maintain a pace of  7m 50s / km when passing the checkpoints.

  • First checkpoint: The information will be available in the runner’s guide
  • Second checkpoint: The information will be available in the runner’s guide

Runners who arrive at the checkpoints slower than this pace will no longer be part of the race and will not be able to finish the race. A bus will take them to the finish line.

Runners who do not maintain a pace of 7m50s/km will have to stop their race at the checkpoint, as there will be NO further services on the course (aid stations, medical assistance, patrols, communication, etc.). 


Buses to the Marathon Start Line

All buses leave from PLACE DE LA GARE in Saint-Jérôme, 160 rue de la Gare, Saint-Jérôme, finish line.

Please note that parking spaces are limited at the starting areas in Val-David. It could be difficult to find a parking place.

It is highly recommended to take the bus to get to your start line. A 7,50$ fee applies. The deadline to purchase your bus ticket is September 1st.

No tickets sold the morning of the marathon.

Buses are reserved for runners only.

First Bus : 6:30 am
Last Bus : 7:30 am

Buses will leave as soon as they are filled.

Trip duration : 35 minutes

Note-1 : The bus schedule may change.
Note-2 : There is no scheduled bus to bring the runners back to the starting line after the race.


Pacers

There will be pacers for the following times:
2:59 – 3:10 – 3:20 – 3:30 – 3:40 – 3:50 – 4:00 – 4:10 – 4:20 – 4h30
Note: Pacer times may vary.


Awards to winners

Awards will be given to the winners of the marathon.

  • Top three men and women open category. The order of the first three to cross the finish line will determine the positions.
  • Top three men and women by age group:
    18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79.
    Age on December 31st
    The chip time will determine the top three by age group.

All prizes by age group will be sent by post.


Bicycles and strollers on the course

In order not to impede the smooth running of the race and not to hurt or endanger the participants, strollers and bike followers are not allowed on the course.
