Alain Bordeleau competed in the marathon at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles as a member of the Canadian team. He held the Quebec marathon record for more than 41 years, with an outstanding performance of 2:14:19.
A professional athlete for more than twenty years, he represented Canada at nine World Cross Country Championships. Alain Bordeleau is a respected and influential figure in the running community in Quebec.
